The Korean Market: Fam Trip for Travel Agencies

The Foundation invited four Korean travel agents  to a familiarization trip

The Foundation invited four Korean travel agents who were in charge of planning travel packages, to a familiarization trip. Especially this time it chose the travel agents who were looking for worthwhile destinations for customers of a wealthy class. For five days from the 6th of September, the participants visited and stayed in “Kawayu Onsen”, “Katsuura Onsen”(in the Wakayama prefecture), “Ise Shima Onsen” and “Akame Onsen” (in the Mie prefecture), as well as tourist attractions and facilities around these towns. They enjoyed walking on World Heritage Sites “Kumano Kodo” ancient pilgrimage trails, trekking around the 48 falls of Akame and indigo dyeing, needless to say of the high-quality spas. In each Onsen resort town, the participants visited local accommodations and held business meetings with local business operators.

They were satisfied with this tour to find the various allurements in the Kansai region such as history, nature and traditional culture. We hope the agents will develop and improve their travel packages in the Kansai region.
