The Chinese Market: PR of Kansai by Satellite TV

Kansai PR Programs on Chinese Satellite TV and Internet Video Sites

Marketing activities in China promoted by the Foundation for Kansai Region Promotion for this fiscal year have incorporated broadcasting TV programs which feature the Kansai region. These programs will be aired on Chinese satellite broadcasting stations, and will be delivered to Internet video sites as well. This project will conduct video shootings of the tourist attractions in ten prefectures in the Kansai region, and will broadcast the programs into three mini-series.
The content of the first mini-series program was Shirahama Onsen hot springs, Kuroshio Ichiba market, Tama Train (the local train famous for its cat station master), Kobe Harborland umie shopping mall, Himeji castle, Nara park, Kofuku-ji temple, Jiko-in temple, and so on. This program was broadcast in China for three days from the 19th to 21st of August. These programs are also delivered to twelve video sites such as Sohu. The second and third mini-series are scheduled to be broadcast in autumn and winter, respectively. We hope these broadcasts will contribute to increasing the number of tourists from China.

*This Project was conducted as part of "Visit Japan Project" in collaboration with Kinki District Transport Bureau.
