Autumn Color Report from Nara Deer Park

The attached are photo reports from Nara Park. Wild deer is popular as a symbol of Nara Park. The Park is inhabited by approximately 1200 wild deer and visitors come in contacts with those deer. Enjoy autumn scenery special to Nara Park, which is created by red  leaves and deer!

(FYI) According to local folklore, deer is considered divine and sacred on the grounds that one of the gods of Kasuga Shrine appeared riding a white deer in ancient times. Deer is under protection of the local authorities of all ages.

Access to Nara Park: about 5-10 min. walk from Kintetsu Nara/JR Nara sta.
