Autumn Color Report from Kibune/Kyoto

Autumn color in Kibune area, Kyoto, is reaching its peak. Kibune area is located in the northern part of Kyoto city and is known for its below-average temperatures (usually around 10 degrees C lower), which are attributable its location between hills some 200m above sea level.
Kibune Shrine is sacred to the God of Water and is worshiped mainly by water-using businesses such as sake breweries, dyeing and textile businesses and agriculture. Also the shrine is well known for being sacred to the deity of marriage or matchmaking.
Access: Take Eizan Railway to Kibune-guchi station from Demachi-yanagi station. About 20 min on foot from Kibune-guchi station to Kibune Shrine.
