Event Featuring Japanese Sake and Sightseeing in Kansai

The popularity of Japanese sake and other alcohols has been increasing in Korea. The Foundation for Kansai Region Promotion held an event introducing sightseeing spots and sake in the Kansai region inviting more than 100 guests from media, travel agencies as well as those who have detailed knowledge of sake. Ms. Lee Yong Sook, the YOKOSO Japan Ambassador and a sake sommelier, delivered a lecture on Japanese sake and other alcohols, related cultures, and tourism based on sake etc.
Five of sake breweries representing the Kansai region; from Nada of Kobe, Fushimi of Kyoto, Kainan of Wakayama and Sakaiminato of Tottori, joined the event and introduced their specialties and attractive tourists spots in each area.
The Foundation will continue to promote the Kansai region with sake as one theme to increase Korean visitors in accordance with the market trend.
