42.195km with “Arigato” The 7th Kobe Marathon will be held on Sunday, November 19th!

The Kobe Marathon is to advertise toward home and abroad, the revived Kobe town after the damage by the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake and express gratitude to those who have helped its recovery. This is the 7th event under the theme of “Thanks and Friendship.”
All the related people such as runners, supporters along the course and volunteers will express their gratitude by decorating the running roads with hand-made cheering goods of yellow “sunflower” color, which is a symbol of the recovery from the earthquake. Please come and participate in this activity with any sunflower colored goods.
Let’s bloom sunflowers and flowers of smiles in the town of Kobe together!

Note 1: The course of the 7th Kobe Marathon is partly changed to shorten the length of the course in the Port Island, where the goal is located. Due to this change, the half way point will be moved west. However, the cheering event at the half way point will be held around the Maiko Park as usual.

Note 2: There will be a large-scale traffic restriction on the day, which may give huge inconvenience to many people including people along the course. Your understanding and cooperation is really appreciated. Please visit Kobe Marathon website for the restriction in detail.

The start time at Kobe City Hall of the 1st wave is 9:00 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. for the 2nd wave.
