Yamato Hana-goyomi 2017: Umami Sunflower Week

[Sunflower week]
Approximately 120,000 sunflowers will welcome you this year! In addition to vividly colored summer flowers, visitors will be able to enjoy wading, cold sweets, and a variety of events.
[Main events]
Around Hanami-chaya (flower-viewing teahouse)
■ Chappu-chappu square [Saturdays and Sundays]
A shallow swimming pool will be prepared for children.
■ Umami Gourmet Garden [Saturdays and Sundays]
Food stalls will be available featuring local ingredients from Nara.
■ Fan painting [Saturdays and Sundays]
Participants can make an original fan by painting a picture on it.
* Participation fee: 50 yen
[By train/bus]
From Ikebe Station on the Kintetsu Railway Tawaramoto Line, an approx. 17-minute walk along the Ryokudo pedestrian path From Goido Station on the Kintetsu Railway Osaka Line, an approx. 16-minute ride by bus bound for Umami Kyuryo Koen * The first 200 visitors who come by public transportation on Saturdays and Sundays will be offered a gift exchange coupon each day.
[By car]
From the Horyuji interchange exit on the Nishi-Meihan Expressway, an approx. 15-minute drive (4 km) south * The park’s parking lot is open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please note that parking space is limited.
【Umami Hill Park】
Covering 56 hectares, this vast park boasts ancient tombs and other remains, forests, ponds and various natural environments, as well as seasonal flowers. There are also lawn areas, playground equipment, and public restrooms. Admission is free. Please enjoy picnicking and strolling around.
