Cherry Blossom Festival to be held at Kimiidera Temple—A place to enjoy early blooming cherry flowers

 Kimmiidera Temple is known as a place for early blooming cherry flowers in the Kansai region, and one of the top 100 cherry blossom spots. Since the Temple has about 500 cherry trees and a regular tree, which is used to indicate the declaration of flowering, designated by the Wakayama Local Meteorological Observatory, it is considered a temple that brings springtime to the Kinki region. The Wakanoura viewed form the precincts is breathtaking and it will be lit up during the festival. Please visit Kimiidera to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms.

■ Access:About a 10-minute walk from Kimiidera Station of the JR Kinokuni Line
     Take a bus from Wakayama Station or Nankai-wakayama-shi Station, get off at Kimiidera bus stop, and walk about 10 minutes.
■ Admission:Adults 200 yen; Elementary and high school students, and persons aged 75 or over: 100 yen
