The Food Fair in Three Hokuriku Prefectures and The Tastes of Fukui

 Events with the theme of “gourmet foods” will be held in Fukui Prefecture as part of the Hokuriku Destination Campaign, a collaborative effort of three prefectural governments in the Hokuriku region, six JR companies, and others, from October through December 2015.
 Visitors can enjoy local foods from the three prefectures including typical pot dishes, with stage performances of traditional arts from each prefecture such as cooking shows and the Katsuyama Sagicho Bayashi fire festival music of Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture.
 The Tastes of Fukui will be held at the same time, offering visitors local fall ingredients. In addition, a talk show with Masayo Waki, who supervised cooking for the TV drama The Emperor’s Cook, as well as the National Food Education Contest for High School Students, will be held.
