Details: The Nara Prefectural government has engaged in clarifying the mechanisms of the large-scale landslide disaster that occurred in the Kii Peninsula flood of September 2011, and in surveys and research for creating monitoring, warning, and evacuation systems. This seminar will provide lectures on the results of the past related surveys and research, as well as the direction of future efforts. Furthermore, inviting overseas researchers who will attend the International Symposium “Interpraevent 2014” to be held at the Nara Prefectural New Public Hall from the day after this Seminar, we will introduce the situation of efforts for disasters by countries around the world, and transmit the information of efforts in Nara Prefecture.
