Dengaku Noh in Mizumi

The origin of dengaku noh can be traced back to an event of 700 years ago, when Hojo Tokiyori, a regent of the Kamakura Regime, visited Ikeda Village. The villagers welcomed Tokiyori with their dengaku dance and Tokiyori taught the villagers how to dance noh. Dengaku noh is designated as an important intangible folklore cultural asset.
