Japan Flower Festival Mie '99 in Yokkaichi Dome

Japan Flower Festival (JFF) Mie '99, one of the largest flower festivals in Japan, will open in Yokkaichi Dome from February 26 to 28, 1999, sponsored by a committee made up of the Mie Prefectural Government, Yokkaichi City, the Commemorative Foundation for the International Garden and Greenery Exposition, Osaka, Japan, 1990 and other organizations.
The festival, on the theme of ""Trip to Flower Land of Mie,"" has succeeded the idea of the Osaka International Garden and Greenery Exposition in 1990 to promote a life with flowers.
Facilities at the coming festival will include the ""Flower-Exhibition Zone"" where organizations and business enterprises both at home and abroad will exhibit their flower products and cultivation technologies. There will also be the ""Flower and Life Zone"" where the gardening skills and cultures, one of current central topics, will be exhibited, while medicinal herbs will be introduced and information about flowers using multimedia will be offered.
The ""JFF Contest"" for superior quality and design arrangements of flowering plants will also be held.
