A national treasure-designated, miraculous structure built on a precipitous cliff
Nageiredo Hall, or "Thrown-in Hall," was built as if suspended on a precipitous cliff. Legend has it that an ascetic named “En-no-Gyoja” threw the hall into the hollow from the foot of the mountain, using his mystical powers. The structure is so miraculous and even seems to be humanly impossible that it is no wonder such a legend remains alive. Nageiredo Hall fascinates visitors with its beautiful appearance, which varies according to the season. The entire vicinity has been designated as a place of historical interest and scenic beauty. |
