“KIPPO Press Tour” has provided foreign correspondents mostly based in Tokyo with opportunities to cover directly various topics in Kansai with the aim of disseminating the potentials and advantages of Kansai to the world over. As of October, 2011, 80 tours were organized. The tour covers state-of-the-art technology, R&D, highly important projects, history, culture, and economic activities, in depth, all of which Kansai boasts to the world.
Foreign correspondents participating in the tour do articles based on the news-gathering activities during the tour and send them to their countries. It is highly popular among correspondents as it allows them to see and report news and topics in Kansai that may hardly be covered in the metropolitan area.
