12. Development Projects in Kansai
As of December 31, 2009, 475 projects* (71 new projects) were in progress in Kansai (excluding Mie, Tottori and Tokushima Prefectures). The total budget for the 47 projects whose budgets are known, amounts to 439.7 billion yen.
* : The term “project” here refers to an enterprise for regional development involving a site of 1 ha or larger and a budget of 1 billion yen or more, including an international event or exposition.
