 Post Office |
The "〒"
sign symbolizes a post office. Office hours are generally 9:00 to 21:00 daily
at the central post office of each prefecture, and 9:00 to 17:00 from Monday to
Friday at local post offices. However, office hours and days may differ, so ask
at your local post office. Post boxes in Japan are generally a box shape and are
red, with the "〒"
sign and the word "post" on the front. Any shop or convenience store
that has the "〒"
sign sells stamps, post cards, etc.
