Infiorata means to make a flower carpet in Italian. It is a tradition widely implemented in many European cities. Being initiated after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, Infiorata Kobe is staged to revitalize citizens and to promote landscaping of towns. Design patterns are made on the streets and squares using flower petals. Huge patterns using tulips are shown in the event. |
