Registered as a World Heritage Site in 1993.

Himeji Castle
Constructed in 1340. Donjons completed in 1609 by IKEDA Terumasa. In both scale and design, the interconnecting donjons represent the pinnacle of the age of castle building. Registered as a World Heritage Site in 1993.
